How to Apply

  1. Candidates are advised to download their e-Admit Cards from the official UPSC website.
  2. Take a printout of the e-Admit Card; no paper admit cards will be issued.
  3. Preserve the e-Admit Card until the final results are declared.
  4. Read the "Important Instructions to the candidates" appended with the e-Admit Card carefully.
  5. Candidates must produce the printout of their e-Admit Card and a Photo ID card (whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card) at the examination venue for each session.
  6. If the photograph on the e-Admit Card is unclear, candidates must bring a Photo Identity Card and two passport-sized photographs (one for each session) to be affixed on an undertaking provided at the venue.
  7. Enter the Examination Venue well in time (preferably one and a half hours before the commencement of the session) for face authentication/identity verification and frisking.
  8. Entry into the Examination Venue will be closed 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination (08:30 AM for Forenoon Session and 02:00 PM for Afternoon Session). No entry will be allowed after closure.
  9. Only specific items are allowed inside the venue: e-Admit Card, pen, pencil, identity proof, copies of passport-size photographs (if applicable), and other items specified in the e-Admit Card instructions.
  10. Candidates must bring a Black Ball Point Pen to fill the Attendance List.
  11. For any discrepancies in the e-Admit Card, contact UPSC immediately via email at usgeol-upsc@nic.in.
  12. Those who have changed their names after matriculation must carry their e-Admit Card, Government issued Photo Identity Card, and/or original Gazette Notification of the changed name for each session.
